It was actually on the Armour Archive. I just went back and searched for "Obama" to see what people's first impression of him were. I was the second poster to mention the name.

As for the age, that's what I thought too. And earlier on in the campaign I thought so. I agree with your assessment. I think there could have been better candidates on both sides, but I believe he was the best of the two (major party) left.
