Running for Office: It's Like A Flamewar with a Forum Troll, but with an Eventual Winner
Summary, a "little guy" wants to run for office, and learns that money is the only way. He either needs a few big donors, or lots of little ones. Nobody has ever gotten more than 644 donors, so he's trying to get 3000, at $8.34 each. He's over halfway to his goal.
As an aside, on our way to WI we had to drive through some areas where the only radio was right-wing or Christianist* talk. It was really, really scary.
*Christianist - a new term I heard, referring to people who use their religion as a political bludgeon, rather than as their faith. Ok, that's probably not the real definition, but it's how I, as a Christian, see it.

Specifically the ones that conveniently forget: "Thou shalt not kill./You shall not murder." and frequent claim things come from Jesus or the bible that were never there in the first place.
