Picspam!

I have pictures up from the weekend. I didn't really get out of camp at all, so these are mostly from La Belle, with just a sprinkling of Grey's Retinue (the great-grandkids).

I was strong, and managed to get some pics of people OTHER than just the kids I think are the awesomest in the whole wide world. It was difficult, but I managed. :-)

The funniest moment this weekend *wasn't* caught on film, though. As you can tell from the pics, Edward was REALLY into the armour. On Saturday afternoon, he put on a breastplate, a couple of gauntlets, and walked around with a buckler. We all went about our business, until suddenly everybody noticed him laying in the middle of the field, flailing about, unable to get up.

So, that myth about knights falling over in their armour and not able to get up on their own? Only if you're THREE. Poor boy!

And now, on to the pics. Oh, the full set is available here.

Henry. I don't know why, I just love to take pictures of people eating.

This is why we do this.

This is why Jeff does this.

And you didn't take a picture before you got him up? :P

I would have, but I didn't have the camera!

OMG boy cuteness!
These are great--need copies :)

If you go to the full set, you can access 30% size ones, that'll print just fine up to about 5x7. But if you have something you want a HUGE pic of, lemme know. I also have a few others held back - they could be photoshopped to be decent, probably.

I think Rob was the first to look - every shot with your family had one view before everything else. :-)

So, Jeff does this to get ladies to look at his butt. Huh.

Really, what's going on there? Did his hosen come unpointed or did the ladies ask what was under the rear hatch?

[identity profile] dedopossum.livejournal.com 2010-04-20 12:22 am (UTC)(link)
I want to know too!

[identity profile] chargirlgenius.livejournal.com 2010-04-20 01:15 am (UTC)(link)
His hose weren't pointed well. I had to do it in the car at a gas station so he could pump. These were other ladies in the Compagnie, and I just couldn't pass up the shot. :-)

They are all great pictures!

Thanks! I'm pretty pleased with them. I did photoshop some of them to within an inch of their lives...

I'm so impressed and inspired! You guys must have "we were really there" moments all the time. I want to play too!!! Your little one is just too adorable and the helmed and gauntleted "Armour Boy" pic is just amazing. Thanks for sharing the wonderful pictures.

Well, the "magic moments" are a little different when interpreting to the public. We don’t really get the immersion effect that some people need for those moments. And our group pretty much is there to put on the “show” for the public. We all go back to hotels or houses at the end of the day. Maybe when the boys are bigger we’ll start camping out and be there longer than just the public hours.

There certainly are different “magic moments” though. When kids come in and really get it. The grins on their faces. Watching the boys share their toys with people who come into camp. Complaining about how men travel, and the knowing nods of the women that we’re talking to. ;-) We tell our stories so many times, and we try to really fall into character. I suppose it’s a little like improv – the more you get into the head of the person you’re trying to portray, the more you can extemporize.

The armor boy pics are adorable, and you in that red dress, WOW, you look amazing!

Thank you! I need a mirror, though, to make sure that my buttons are all straight. :-)
