Kali and Leif still need homes

My ex has written to me again:
Kali and Leif need to move out soon-by the end of January. I'll try to get them into a no-kill shelter, but that may still be very difficult, especially for Leif. It appears that there's an interview process, which he may not pass. If I can't get them in somewhere that's no-kill, I'll have to take them to the SPCA, where they might not last. Let me know if you want to meet up for a handoff in the next couple of weeks.

Yep, Leif is a bit of a challenge, but the alternative isn't great for him. He's declawed in the front. Kali is also declawed, but a complete creampuff (who has lived with clawed kitties in the past).

Here are the original posts with details:

Please let me know if you're at all interested, or know somebody who might be. Jeff and I are both allergic. We just can't do this.

Thanks.

If we weren't about to have a new addition already, I'd probably take the younger one. We just can't really take on any new pets atm as it is. I really hope they find a good home or at least can get in to the 'friendly' shelter.

Thanks. And thanks for your post.

What state do you live in, again?

I'm also a bit confused: two cats need new homes, but you've got photos of three?

I'm in MD, but the cats are in PA.

The second two pics are of the same cat. The pic in the middle is just really dark.

Oh. There goes that idea. 600 miles is a bit far to pick up two cats.

msybe have mom & dad ask ric & lorry (more about kali). i know they just got a new cat, loki passed this year, and they told ben to come home with a healthy female and he came home with a male with respiratory issues. but maybe a sweet female could still find a home there?

Possibly. Kali is 11, though.

Where does your ex live? There's a really excellent no-kill cat shelter in Whitewater, WI. It's called Touched By a Paw (http://www.touchedbyapaw.net/). The website is a little fluffy, but they really do take excellent care of the cats and place them in good homes.

PA. So it's a bit far...

Ellen says:

please tell your friend to contact Homeward Trails rescue, or call PETMAC in Arlington- they work with them.

I'm hoping he can find a rescue up there, but if not, I'll drop them a line.
