Twelfth Night
I'm exhausted. I enjoyed myself immensely yesterday. Sure, the site was large and spread out, and our *stuff* was all over the place necessitating walking to and fro. There were some stressors, but none involved me personally. No, it was a great day, because a couple of wonderful things happened.

ladyaneira and alina_s for their elevations to the Order of the Laurel! It was well-deserved, and the great joy on your faces was touching.
ladyaneira, if you get a copy of the "Give Aneira a Paintbrush" (or whatever the title was, I missed the beginning of the "Give a Mouse a Cookie" bit), I hope you'll post it.
And for those that saw my Friday post - it turns out that when somebody says, "Thanks for offering to help, will you do hospitality food?" you should really check before you assume they meant *all* of the hospitality food! ::blush::
I can't forgetazpapillion and Baron J-sans LJ. They looked fantastic as they stepped up as Baron and Baroness of Ponte Alto. I hope somebody got pics.
Yeah, it was a day full of courts, but that wasn't that bad. They were short-ish, especially as I'd duck out between or after bits that I wanted to be there for. That's the nice thing about standing up for all of the Pearls and Laurels. Each time was a chance to leave afterwards. :-) I'm sure I missed a few things, but kept my sanity.
I still didn't have a chance to sit and chat with people for long, but that was me making up little unnecessary tasks and jobs for myself "oh, I should go get this - check that - find so-an-so." I need to learn to relax a bit. Of course, this is the last event without the boys for a while, so relaxing is out!
We got some pics, mostly of both elevations, hopefully we'll post in a few days. Today, we spend it with the boys and Luana going to see the dinosaurs!

I have so much thanks to give to you and Geoffrey, and so many others as well, but that must wait til I update my own LJ later tonight. (Like, after the boy is in bed and the bags unpacked.) And yes, Grettir's got a copy of the poem, which he wrote and which I will post. :-)
