I don't know about those Facebook apps either. I generally just ignore them. If people are offended by that, well, they haven't said so. :)

Lady I worked with had a parrot and two cats. She would set the parrot down on the floor, and the parrot would walk around saying "HERE, kitty kitty kitty! HERE, kitty kitty! Kiss? *smooching noise* Kiss?" The cats PANICKED. They always treated this event as the arrival of Satan, and teleported out of the county whenever it happened. I think the bird is probably fine. :)
