i used to have that (and sick time was "unlimited, don't abuse it" for my class of employee). new job has PTO - which at first i thought was pretty cool because i rarely use sick time, so it was just more vacation in my book. but i am more reluctant to take sick days now. the psychological aspect was unexpected for me. glad to hear it's common, at least....
