Gah! Get me out of my office! I just want TEA, dammit, and I think I'd get it quicker over a campfire. We do have a water cooler - the type that also heats the water for tea. Does it work? No, of course not. Neither does the replacement cooler. No problem. Use the microwave? Sure! But I don't know if it's the microwave, the surge protector, or the coffeepot, but the circuit blows after a few seconds of microwave. The other day, after it died 10 times in a row, I gave up. Today, I kept hitting it. 10-20 seconds at a time, and eventually I had hot water.

Love my government facility. At least it's not over 80 in here (this week).

Just look at that icon. The cat is SMILING. He's a LOLcat star waiting to be discovered, by YOU!

But seriously, when my ex and I split, he took the cats. I was apartment hunting, and I couldn't find a cheap place that would take the cats. It worked out, because Jeff was allergic, and didn't particularly want to live with cats.

I just got an email from the ex. His new girlfriend, who moved in two months ago, is highly allergic. She's been medicating, and has shown no improvment. Both cats have been sequestered in the basement for the past two months. They've determined that the cats must go.

I would love to take them, but Jeff's allergic, I'm kind of allergic, and we have three not-particularly-cat-friendly critters in our house (Rose, Henry, Edward), and we have a bird. We don't need the complication, and it's just not a good home for two cats.

Leif (pictured) is four years old. He was a VERY playful kitty, and gave Kali hell. He's calmed down, and they're good buddies now, but the ex says he can still occasionally be a little sh!thead (waiting to find out what that means, exactly). I wouldn't have it any other way. We got him from a vet who was sheltering the mother. No health problems. Fixed, declawed front only.

Kali - 11 years old, give or take. She was a stray that found me just after I graduated from school. Sweet little thing. She never got heavier than 7 lbs, and has a little soprano voice that she likes to use in conversation. Light conversation, not all-night conversation, that is. She's still quite healthy, according to the ex. Fixed, declawed.

They both have all of their shots up to day, have no health problems, and are good cats. They get along well, mutual grooming and all of that. They would be best as a pair, but better to split them then to not be able to place them. They haven't been around other pets, so I'm not sure how they'd do. They're located near Coatesville, PA (just west of Philly a bit).

If you're willing, my ex is willing to kick in some dough for start up kitteh costs. If you're not in the Philly area, we'll figure out transport somehow, but not stick you with the cost.

CUTE KITTEHS! )
